Is it a good Idea to get this Car?

My hubby & I are thinking about getting a 04 or 05 Ford Taurus. This will be our 1st car from a dealership we can only get this car cuz we have no credit whatsoever & no co-signer plus it will also help us build up credit. We should have it paid off in 2 years but do any of ya'll know it Taurses are reliable atleast for bout 2 years? Cuz I dont wanna get it and put insurace on it just for it to break down on us in the near future. Plus we have a baby boy and if it breaks down I dont wanna get stranded with our son Cuz whats the chances its gonna be awhile? But do any of ya'll know if its a reliabe car?
