Is it true that educational institutions can replicate systems of inequality?

You can say that there is a hierarchy in educational schools when it comes to prearing students for university. Richer parents can send their children to schoosl that teach subjects in such a way that it enhances the student's learning. Public schools pretty much don't prepare students for university... but who cares because we're in a multicultural society where the governmet is more interested in getting our money than focussing on us as kindred, blood brethren.
