Is it true that you cannot turn a bad girl into a housewife?

I had to censor the phrase but im sure you all know the saying. i was deeply in love with a girl who became very promiscuous after our break up. Sometimes i feel like i still love her. we were each other's first love and partners but after three years she has been around the town. What would most men do? Sometimes i think i can forgive her but the thought of sleeping with her after all of those other guys is discomforting
