Ways for young people to help in stoke-on-trent?

I live in stoke on trent and I am around the age of 13. I really like caring for people and looking after them and was looking for new ways to get stuck in and help people! e.g. walking dogs, doing pensioners gardening, reading to children etc. I just cant think of ways I can get involved in things like these and I cant work at places as I am under 16. I just really want to help people but i need ideas!!!
